Today I’m sharing an adorable little burgundy/wine turtleneck dress that is perfect for a casual day out, a date night or even a Christmas party. I love its ribbed details that you can see around the neck, on the bottom of the sleeves and the bottom of the dress. They add that little special something to an otherwise simple sweater dress.
I paired this dress up with a black bomber jacket that I actually got last year, a pair of black boots and a black cross body bag. You can’t go wrong with the black and red color combo, plus it adds that chic and sophisticated feel to an outfit.
For a date night, or a Christmas party, you could wear heels with this dress and, for example, a nice fur jacket or a long black or red coat. For a casual look, anything will do.
I love burgundy! I had to get these burgundy pants for this sole reason! I thought it would be nice to have a darker color of jeans, since I have mostly lighter colors. Plus this beautiful burgundy color will go nicely with classic black or white. Here are some outfit suggestions that came to my mind while purchasing them:
The first option features the burgundy jeans paired with this colorful striped sweater with some burgundy stripes (perfect match!), as well as the navy blue jacket and black flats. An option for a colder day! The second look shows the pants paired up with this nice heart print blouse and black pair of high heeled ankle boots. It’s a great outfit for work or an outing in the city! And the third look features the burgundy pants with a black and white sweater and a black bomber jacket. It would look great with black ankle boots as well.
It’s getting warmer and warmer outside so it will be much easier from now on to go outside and take pictures. Yesterday was in the 60s, so I decided to wear this outfit. You might remember that the black bomber jacket was one of my new purchases last fall. It’s a perfect match with skinny jeans, but you may recall that I chose to wear it with a dress last time (see picture here). The skinny jeans are my go to pants if I do not know what to wear. Love the color!
When I wear simple black and blue jeans I always try to brighten the outfit with some color, so here I opted for this red and black striped top. It’s long sleeved and has a nice neckline.
The shoes are oldies, but goodies. I wish I had also gotten them in red, especially because they were discounted from $89 to $19 at that time. Oh well! The ring is from Rocksbox. It’sa Sophie Harper Pavé Spiral Ring in gold. If you are not familiar with Rocksbox, you can receive free pieces of jewelry from them for $19 a month, return them and receive a new set as many times a month as you can. It’s definitely a good deal. If you want to try your first month free, use this code: glamorglossxoxo.
Fall in full swing! For this look, I paired up a black bomber jacket with black booties and a ruby dress. It looks like I’m wearing a skirt though as I kept my jacket zipped the entire time. Still, it’s a nice pop of color to this otherwise black outfit.
How do you like the scarf? I love how it kind of matches the dress and the white color definitely brightens the whole look up. And, it was a steal for only $4.99!
I love the accessories that I wore with this outfit. Loren Hope Small Sarra Cuff in Merlot and the beautiful Gorjana Olympia Shimmer Wrap Ring that is shaped like leaves (perfect for fall) both came from my subscription to Rocksbox.
And the earrings, also in the shape of a leaf, contain all the great colors of fall and are perfect for when you wear burgundy colors this season.
