When you think about an eyelet embroidered dress, chances are you see a white summer dress that you can wear at the beach. Oh, how a color can change the dress! Would you think of this black dress as such? The black makes this dress oh so much more sophisticated and glamorous, in my opinion, and makes the dress more versatile. Paired with a pair of black heels and a nice black clutch, it can make for a nice summer date night look. Wear it with a pair of black ankle boots and a white brim felt fedora hat for an edgier look, or simply make it casual like I did, and wear it during any summer day with a pair of black or white sandals (brown would work too) and a matching crossbody bag.
What I love about this dress it obviously its beautiful embroidery, but also the fluted sleeves that are very popular this summer. The dress is very light and breathable, but it does run big so make sure to read the size chart before ordering. Great news! This dress comes in several different colors, and all are so adorable. I want them all, but the new colors that I’m most excited about are burgundy and mustard yellow. Just in time for fall!
My earrings are an older purchase and they were perfect for this entire look. The bag is from Aldo, but I found other places you can buy it from as well. Details below:
I can’t tell you enough what a great investment white pair of shorts are. You can pair them with any top, sweater, cardigan, sweatshirt, you name it and you can create whatever look you want. White goes with everything so it’s really easy to plan your outfit around white pair of shorts. I already got my money’s worth from this pair as I’ve been wearing them quite a lot! Do you remember the plaid top and white shorts look I sported a while ago? (Click here for a reminder).
But enough about my shorts! The focal point of this entire outfit is this gorgeous floral print top with flute sleeves. Isn’t it adorable? Again, it’s a very versatile top you can wear many ways on many occasions. It’s going to be great for work, dinner, parties, casual days, etc. Because it’s still warm here, I decided to wear it with shorts and a brown pair of sandals, but it would also look great with jeans and a cute pair of booties for fall.
For accessories, I’m wearing a blue pair of earrings which mingle perfectly with the blue flowers on the top.
The blouse is on sale for only $12.99! I believe it’s sold out online but you can still get it in every store.
Gingham is so popular this summer and I have to tell you I have totally embraced it. You might remember the post I did not so long ago where I wore a red gingham dress. In case you missed it, or want to check it out, here it is. This dress is an absolute dream. It’s so fresh, youthful and something I’ve never had before. It features beautiful ruffle sleeves and the black and white gingham pattern. The bow ties at the back are stunning, and are a most welcome addition. Wearing this dress, I felt like a Parisienne girl wearing a Chanel dress. The gingham pattern makes this beauty stand out even more, like all the amazing detailing is not enough to admire. Be ready for a lot of looks and compliments from other people when out and about wearing this stunner. I absolutely love this dress!
I decided to pair it up with a black purse and white sandals, but you can totally do either a white bag and sandals, or black everything, I decided to mix it up this time.
For accessories, I only wore a pair of simple white earrings as I didn’t want to take aways from the beauty of this dress. It has so much going on already, there is no need to dress it up.
Did I mention this dress is under $20? This was the best purchase I’ve done this summer and the most beautiful dress I’ve bought. This one will not disappoint you!
I found the best blouse ever for the summer and it’s this beautiful plaid black and white blouse that also happens to be off the shoulder. Maybe you’re not a fun of the plaid pattern, to be honest I’m not either, but as soon as I tried this top on and saw what a perfect fit it was, how beautifully it moved ( I tried to show it in the pictures), I immediately thought that I needed to get it. The ruffle detail on the sleeves, the flow silhouette , the lace finish of the neckline, there is just so much that this blouse has to offer. I knew it would be perfect with the white pair of shorts, but it will also look great with jeans! Now, this blouse normally goes for $59.50, but it’s on major sale right now, and when I say major, it’s really major. It’s $19.99 with additional 40% off!!! That’s like $12! And it’s still available in all sizes! Don’t miss out with this one, I’m telling you, you’re going to love this top!
I absolutely adore this camouflage print t-shirt dress. Camo print is very popular this spring. I’ve seen quite a few camouflage dresses, but I particularly fell in love with this one because of its light colors. All the other dresses of this kind usually have a darker print (brown, dark green and even black), which in my opinion, is not as attractive. But this one is a different story. Besides that, I love how simple and comfortable this dress is and its fabric is very very soft, which is also a plus. For less than $15!, this dress is definitely a steal. I paired it with my favorite brown cross body bag, which you can get in many colors, (posted about it here), and a white pair of sandals to keep everything bright and earthy.
It’s still summer here and I’m not complaining! I received a new set of jewelry from Rocksbox and it included two green pieces. I don’t have lots of green in my closet so I decided to recycle a striped green and white dress I wore last year in one of my earlier posts (take a look at it here). I paired it with white sandals and my little brown bag for contrast.
Here is a better look at the accessories. The green Urban Gem Paisley necklace (big and showy) as well the Olivia & Grace Hexagon Pave Ring in Aqua Chalcedony (very beautiful) comes from my Rocksbox subscription.
My latest purchase – this striped fuchsia, pink and navy blue skirt. Get ready for this, it was on sale for $3!!! It’s very comfortable, doesn’t slide up when you walk like other pencil skirts do and there were other color combinations to choose from. I was debating what color top should I pair it with, but I opted for navy blue for the contrast (you might remember it with the elephant pair of shorts I wore here), as the skirt is more about fuchsia and pink.
The accessories were a light shade of pink earrings and a necklace/ring that were in fuchsia. Everything, of course, matched the skirt well. I didn’t want to add any additional accessories (like a bracelet) as the necklace was showy enough so I just let it shine!
Sunday’s casual look features an elephant print white t-shirt and a pink pair of shorts. I rarely wear shorts, but sometimes you need them for lazy days like today! I also love this simple yet fun elephant t-shirt. It must be a popular motif this summer! I see elephants everywhere! Remember the elephant shorts I wore in one of the other outfits? (Click here for a reminder!)
The bag is an oldie, but I still love how beautifully beaded it is. Yes, the entire front you can see in this picture is covered with beads. It’s one shiny bag for sure! Doesn’t the design and the colors of it remind you of a peacock?
I accessorized today’s look with this colorful bracelet that contains the color of my outfit today. The orange matched my pink and orange earrings as well. Pink went well with the shorts and the brown with sandals!
It’s been so hot outside recently, even this outfit felt too hot for this weather. I’m wearing a white mid-length linen skirt with a mint striped top. I bought this top a while ago and unfortunately, I don’t remember where from. The skirt is also old, but good news, you can still get it. (Details below). It comes in many colors as well. I remember that I had a difficult time deciding which one to get.
I bought those sandals at Macy’s last year. Although they are currently unavailable, you can still get them (in other colors too) all over the web. I included a link below the post.
For accessories I wore the Kendra Scott Sadie Spear Earrings in Gold and the Jules Smith Short Layered Necklace – both from Rocksbox. Remember to use the code below for your free month of jewelry if you’re interested. The green bracelet was a perfect match with the pastel green color of the top.
