When you think about an eyelet embroidered dress, chances are you see a white summer dress that you can wear at the beach. Oh, how a color can change the dress! Would you think of this black dress as such? The black makes this dress oh so much more sophisticated and glamorous, in my opinion, and makes the dress more versatile. Paired with a pair of black heels and a nice black clutch, it can make for a nice summer date night look. Wear it with a pair of black ankle boots and a white brim felt fedora hat for an edgier look, or simply make it casual like I did, and wear it during any summer day with a pair of black or white sandals (brown would work too) and a matching crossbody bag.
What I love about this dress it obviously its beautiful embroidery, but also the fluted sleeves that are very popular this summer. The dress is very light and breathable, but it does run big so make sure to read the size chart before ordering. Great news! This dress comes in several different colors, and all are so adorable. I want them all, but the new colors that I’m most excited about are burgundy and mustard yellow. Just in time for fall!
My earrings are an older purchase and they were perfect for this entire look. The bag is from Aldo, but I found other places you can buy it from as well. Details below:
Gingham is so popular this summer and I have to tell you I have totally embraced it. You might remember the post I did not so long ago where I wore a red gingham dress. In case you missed it, or want to check it out, here it is. This dress is an absolute dream. It’s so fresh, youthful and something I’ve never had before. It features beautiful ruffle sleeves and the black and white gingham pattern. The bow ties at the back are stunning, and are a most welcome addition. Wearing this dress, I felt like a Parisienne girl wearing a Chanel dress. The gingham pattern makes this beauty stand out even more, like all the amazing detailing is not enough to admire. Be ready for a lot of looks and compliments from other people when out and about wearing this stunner. I absolutely love this dress!
I decided to pair it up with a black purse and white sandals, but you can totally do either a white bag and sandals, or black everything, I decided to mix it up this time.
For accessories, I only wore a pair of simple white earrings as I didn’t want to take aways from the beauty of this dress. It has so much going on already, there is no need to dress it up.
Did I mention this dress is under $20? This was the best purchase I’ve done this summer and the most beautiful dress I’ve bought. This one will not disappoint you!
This dress might look seemingly simple and casual at first glance, but in fact, it has a lot of going on. Between the beautiful silhouette with the flare accent and the oh so trendy palm leaf print, it’s actually an amazing dress that can easily be dressed down or up depending on an occasion and type of day. I opted to wear it casually with a pair of white sandals and a pastel pink bag (matching the leaves patterns on the dress), but I can easily envision it with a pair of high heeled brown sandals for a date night as well. Also, I really love the color palette on this dress: brown, white, pastel pink and mint altogether look so pretty, and you can match your shoes and accessories with any of those colors. I really like pastel pink accessories this summer and because of that I’m so glad I got this amazing cross body bag because I’m really getting a lot out of it. I’m wearing it almost every day! Good news – all my outfit pieces: sandals, dress as well as the bag are now under $10 each. Don’t miss out on the fabulous sales on these items. Details below:
I just grabbed this shirt dress yesterday because I thought it was a great deal. It’s going to be perfect for cooler days like today and I love how it’s great for just any kind of day: errands, shopping days, city sightseeing etc. It’s very comfortable and chic and even though it’s on a casual side, it still has that stylish and sophisticated look to it. I also love the light blue stripe pattern which makes it stand out a little and the fabric is very durable – thick and warm! And, like I said at the beginning, you can get this shirt dress now for under $20. There are a ton of them remaining!
Today I decided to pair it up with white sandals, which, by the way, I also got yesterday (love them!). They were $9 on sale! They also come in coral and black and are so comfortable and lovely, I’m seriously in love with them! And, of course, I had to wear my white cross body bag that you might already know as I wear it a lot, especially with light outfits.
For accessories, I wore this beautiful beaded grey/light blue choker, which has similar shades to the dress and a pair of light blue earrings. Overall, I really like this look and I know I’m going to get a lot out of this dress. Such a classic piece that will never go out of style. I’m telling you, it’s a great buy!
I absolutely adore this camouflage print t-shirt dress. Camo print is very popular this spring. I’ve seen quite a few camouflage dresses, but I particularly fell in love with this one because of its light colors. All the other dresses of this kind usually have a darker print (brown, dark green and even black), which in my opinion, is not as attractive. But this one is a different story. Besides that, I love how simple and comfortable this dress is and its fabric is very very soft, which is also a plus. For less than $15!, this dress is definitely a steal. I paired it with my favorite brown cross body bag, which you can get in many colors, (posted about it here), and a white pair of sandals to keep everything bright and earthy.
This linen dress outfit consists of white and coral stripes (reminds me of St.Tropez because of its silhouette) and white everything else. It is difficult to match coral with something other than white which is why I opted for white sandals and white bag.
I had a perfect pair of earrings to wear with this dress. They were not the exact coral shade, but I think the orange and red complemented the outfit really well. The bracelet, on the other hand, was very close to the color of the dress. You might remember me wearing it with a different outfit. Here it is if you need a reminder!
It’s been so hot outside recently, even this outfit felt too hot for this weather. I’m wearing a white mid-length linen skirt with a mint striped top. I bought this top a while ago and unfortunately, I don’t remember where from. The skirt is also old, but good news, you can still get it. (Details below). It comes in many colors as well. I remember that I had a difficult time deciding which one to get.
I bought those sandals at Macy’s last year. Although they are currently unavailable, you can still get them (in other colors too) all over the web. I included a link below the post.
For accessories I wore the Kendra Scott Sadie Spear Earrings in Gold and the Jules Smith Short Layered Necklace – both from Rocksbox. Remember to use the code below for your free month of jewelry if you’re interested. The green bracelet was a perfect match with the pastel green color of the top.
A casual kind of Sunday! I felt so good in this olive and white striped dress that I wore today! It’s so casual that you can wear it on any day and with the right accessories, you can change the look completely. Add some sparkle and a nice bag, like I did, and you will look so much better already. I love the simple kind of dresses because you can wear them as is or play around with them to make them look more dressed up.
I paired this dress with a mix of gold and silver accessories and white cross body bag and sandals. Some of you might remember this bag I got recently from my latest grabs post!
The side view…
Love this two tone gold and silver bracelet. I thought it would go great with my silver earrings, gold watch and my bag’s gold chain.
Speaking of earrings! These are one of my favorites!
It’s rare that I wear something the day after I originally buy it, but today the temperatures skyrocketed to the low 80s. It was just a perfect day to wear this dress. It’s a linen dress, so in the heat it is a little easy to get wrinkled (as you can see from the pictures). But it’s such a comfortable dress, perfect length, open shoulders that, besides the wrinkling part, I can’t complain much. Plus, it was a deal for $10 from the original price of $34! What an occasion!
The sandals are from last year. If you go back to my last summer posts, I wore them pretty much all the time. That’s why I like buying tan/beige shoes because they go with any outfit. Plus, these are slip ons, so comfortable!
For my accessories, I chose a mint color bracelet that I thought was a nice contrast to the yellow stripes. My ring and earrings are from Rocksbox. I’m obviously putting the subscription to good use! Just a reminder, if you want to try your first month free, use this code: glamorglossxoxo.
